Session information

Maternity sessions are best done around 28-34 weeks of pregnancy but we can do your session whenever is easiest for you! You can choose between studio style or outdoors for your session! Studio style is more of an elegant and editorial look while outdoor style shows more of the scenery. Professional hair and make up is available (for an additional fee ) and is done before your session! If you choose to have a studio session, hair and make up is done at the studio prior to your session. If you choose outdoor, you will meet with the hair and make up artist sometime during the day prior to your session.

This will depend on the type of session you would like to do or the look you want to achieve. For a studio session, please wear nude color underwear and a nude color strapless bra. You can also bring any gown or dress you would like to wear as well for both studio and outdoor sessions. I am currently working on building a client closet and currently have silk fabrics that I use to create elegant looks in my studio.

The length of your maternity session will depend on how many outfit changes we do. With family and/or children are involved, sessions can take up to 2 hours. However, typically sessions take up to 1-1.5 hours. This time includes outfit changes and styling as needed.

I recommend booking your maternity session for 28-34 weeks of pregnancy. This ensures that you are not too uncomfortable yet and helps to make sure we get your session in before delivery. This time frame is not set in stone though!

For a studio session, I will guide you through a series of elegant and flattering poses, highlighting your pregnancy and growing belly. If we are photographing family as well, we will do that first and then dad and any other siblings can go get something to eat or play at the local park while we focus on just you. For an outdoor session, posing will be guided but not as much as a studio session will be.
